Heathrow has only just scraped into the list of the world's top 100
airports, as it emerged it now takes longer to travel to Paris than it
did 30 years ago.
The London airport has been rated by passengers as worse than Calcutta
and Humberside.

Hardly surprising -- the planes now fly slower than 30 years ago, and
the airspace and airports are more congested. Furthermore, you can have
some very long taxi runs in CDG.

The problem with this type of survey is that it the expectations of the
customers who are surveyed are different.

LHR is frequented by a large number of Business travellers whose
expectations are much higher than the bucket carrying holidaymakers who
frequent e.g Athens, so it's not a surprise that it scores badly.
