It's quite unlikely that they are the first airline to sell TV sets on
board, given that (for example) the American Airlines in-flight magazine
was selling laptop computers in 1986 (in that instance it probably was a
genuine "first").

A "laptop" in 1986 would probably have been called a "portable", the
definition of which would be "liftable" so not a lot lighter than a TV
set ;-)

I think we tend to forget just how small and light a modern laptop is,
even discounting iPhone/iPad and the like.

TVs don't have to be very big; around that time I had a Sony portable TV
with a "flat" screen, that fitted in my pocket (the FD210)
